Dear Cub Family,
Weather permitting, Friday, October 30 at 8:00 a.m., CCES will hold its annual Book Character Parade. Family members are invited to attend this outdoor parade that will take place in front of the school. Families should park and find a spot to view the parade by 7:55 a.m. The students will parade down the drop-off loop and will walk past the spectators twice. Have your cameras ready to take a picture of your child!
Here are tips to keep in mind when preparing your child’s character costume:
- Children should wear the costume to school (we won’t have time to put costumes on in class).
- Costumes should be a book character - not a TV character.
- Students should try to bring the book to carry or a picture of the book cover page.
- Weapons are not welcome (no swords, lightsabers, guns, etc.).
- We have students ages 3 - 11 on campus, so costumes should not intentionally be scary.
- Masks will be removed in class.
- It is the student’s responsibility to keep track of all costume pieces and parts and to ensure they are taken home at the end of the day.
Family members will not enter the building on Thursday morning for the parade. Everything will take place in front of the school. If you need to come in the building for an appointment or meeting, please make sure you have your driver’s license available. Please do not bring pets for this outdoor school event.
Enjoy the weekend!
Warmly,
